Effectiveness of Intranasal Splints in Preventing Nasal Adhesion

Objective: To determine the effectiveness of intranasal splints in preventing nasal adhesion. Study Design: Descriptive case series Place and Duration Study: ENT Department, Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta from 1st October 2020 to 31st March, 2021. Methodology: One hundred patients both genders were presented this study. Patients aged between 15-48 years. details demographics age, sex body mass index recorded. In a general anaesthesia, selection was made with deviated septum septoplasty. Intra-nasal implanted, followed by prior packing after septoplastic procedure. On second postoperative day removed while fractures on 15th surgery. Prevalence adhesion observed within follow up four weeks. Results: There 58 (58%) male 42 (42%) females. Mean age 25.66±8.14 years mean 24.17±6.35 kg/m2. Most 60 (60%) group 25-35 Symptoms obstruction found cases rhinorrhea 26 (26%).
